Oh my goodness, ladies and gents, do I have a treat for you today! Let me tell you about this absolutely divine seafood dish that had my entire family fighting over the last bite (literally, my sister-in-law almost threw hands 💁‍♀️).

This Pan-Seared Scallops with Lemon Butter Sauce and Garlic Shrimp is what I like to call my “catch a man” dinner – but honestly, it’s so good you’ll want to keep it all to yourself! Trust me, I’ve been perfecting this recipe for years, and it’s finally ready to share with you all.

What You’ll Need:
– 12 large sea scallops (pat them dry like your ex’s texts)
– 12 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 4 tablespoons butter (real butter, honey – none of that fake stuff)
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 lemon
– 1/4 cup white wine (plus a glass for the chef 😉)
– Fresh parsley
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 tablespoons olive oil

Now, let’s get cooking:

1. First things first – pat those scallops DRY. I mean bone dry, like the conversation at a bad first date. Season with salt and pepper.

1. Heat olive oil in a large pan until it’s smoking hot (like your summer plans).

1. Place scallops in the pan and don’t you DARE touch them for 2-3 minutes. We want that gorgeous golden crust! Flip and cook another 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.

1. In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons butter and garlic. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.

1. Now for the sauce (my favorite part!) – add wine, let it reduce for a minute, then add remaining butter and lemon juice. Let it simmer until slightly thickened.

1. Return scallops to the pan, sprinkle with parsley, and voilà!

Serve this baby over linguine or with crusty bread to soak up that heavenly sauce. I usually pair it with a crisp Pinot Grigio, but hey, you do you!

Y’all, I cannot stress enough how this dish has saved many of my dinner parties. It looks fancy enough to impress your mother-in-law but is actually super easy to make (just don’t tell her that 😉).
