Oh my goodness, y’all! Let me tell you about these breakfast munchies that literally had my family fighting over the last piece this morning! 🤤

Ladies (and gents), if you’re tired of the same old boring breakfast routine, this Apple-Cinnamon French Toast Casserole is about to become your new weekend bestie. Trust me, it’s like a warm hug for your taste buds!

What You’ll Need (because who doesn’t love a good shopping list?):
– 1 loaf day-old brioche bread (fancy, I know!)
– 4 crisp apples, sliced
– 6 large eggs
– 2 cups whole milk
– 1 cup heavy cream (because we’re living our best life)
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 2 tsp vanilla extract
– 2 tsp cinnamon
– 1/4 tsp nutmeg
– Pinch of salt

For the OMG-worthy topping:
– 1/2 cup butter, melted
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1/2 cup flour
– 1 tsp cinnamon

Y’all, the magic happens here:

1. First things first, cube that gorgeous brioche bread. Make them about 1-inch pieces – we’re not savages here!

1. Layer half the bread in a greased 9×13 baking dish. Sprinkle those apple slices all over like confetti, then add the remaining bread on top.

1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth. Pour this heavenly mixture all over your bread layers. _chef’s kiss_

1. Now for the topping – mix all those ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle this goodness all over the top. Cover and refrigerate overnight (I know, the waiting is the hardest part!).

1. The next morning, preheat your oven to 350°F. Let the casserole sit at room temperature while the oven heats up.

1. Bake for 45-55 minutes until golden brown and slightly jiggly in the center.

Honey, when this comes out of the oven, your house will smell like heaven! Top it with maple syrup, whipped cream, or both – I won’t judge!

This recipe serves 8-10 people, or just me on a really rough Monday (kidding… kind of 😏).
