Mouthwatering Texas brisket perfection: Smoky bark, tender pink ring & sweet bourbon peaches, served with golden jalapeño cornbread

Y’all, let me tell you about a mouthwatering Texas dinner that’ll have your family fighting over seconds! As a born and raised Texas girl, I’ve perfected this recipe over countless family gatherings, and honey, it never disappoints.

Let’s make my famous Texas-Style Smoked Brisket with Bourbon-Glazed Peaches and Jalapeño Cornbread! Trust me, this combination is pure heaven on a plate. 🤠


For the brisket (the star of the show):
– 12-14 lb beef brisket
– 1/4 cup black pepper
– 1/4 cup kosher salt
– 2 tablespoons garlic powder
– 2 tablespoons paprika
– Oak or hickory wood chips

First things first, ladies (and gents), trim that brisket but leave about 1/4 inch of fat – we need that flavor! Mix those seasonings and give that meat a good massage. Don’t be shy now!
